Back in the 1990’s a tour company was created in Cozumel Island, Mexico. With only a few men, they build a ranch to do horseback ridding tours for the tourist who were visiting the Island for a few hours or a few days.

One of the founders of this company is Juan Carlos Cabeza, a dedicated cowboy who cares about the horses and has a vision to do business on the foundations to fill all guest needs.

Juan Carlos then started to feel that his mission wasn’t to stay on one place, but to move and share the beauties of the region of Quintana Roo to all people he can reach, so with his long time friend Ricardo Arellanos, to who he met a few years ago, they started what is now XIMBAL TOURS.

In this new company, they both worked hard to get the best horses from the region and to find the best site for the guests to enjoy. After a few months they found the caverns of AKTUNCHEN and they decided to do the tour there.

This company, more than a business is about share, share the moments of a magical journey into the Mayan land. We have understood that the vacations last forever if you have a deep impression of feelings and those feelings can be passed to generations to come.
